Useful Wastage
Though the sentiments behind new art-eco-fashion brand ISSI are truly worthy we cannot accept that ‘waste not, want not’ is a maxim that necessarily rings true. Why? Well, ISSI’s products might all be made from waste but we really, really want them.
The launch collection has been produced in collaboration with a series of award-winning contemporary visual artists. The ‘Volcano’ Messenger bag £260 and Kitbag (above £270) by artist Paul Morrison are made from decommissioned fire-hose and reclaimed parachute silk. Fifty per cent of profits from the ISSI range go back into charities associated with waste.
My favorite is the Kit Bag priced which you can buy online here or find the collection at Selfridges from 4 May.
